They ship as a pair because the shop is a pair.
PrintThis! never invents a second imposer. ImposeThis! is the only imposition path. The contract is XMP plus save-in-place: the server copies production, Acrobat opens that path, the plug-in writes over it, and the job picks up the imposed artifact.

A server owns files, printers, Fiery, processing, and the customer proof portal. A client is the operator console. Originals never move again after ingest.

OS printers, virtual folder drops, and Fiery Command Workstation — API, hot folder, or both, with status written back onto the job.
ImposeThis! action
Windows servers hand the active production file to Acrobat + ImposeThis!. The imposed PDF saves in place. Mac clients still drive a Windows server.

Shuffle, even/odd, reverse, pad to a multiple (and choose where blanks go), insert blanks.
Overlays
Stick-on text and numbers, Bates, stick-on PDF with placement, masking tape with live preview.
Variable data
CSV merge, font/style/align, placement preview, test one record or run all. Optional USPS Intelligent Mail column.
Margins & marks
Shared edge and gutter, crop styles, frames off by default. Preview guides are color-editable.
PrintThis! handshake
When a file is workflow-managed, ImposeThis! writes over the same path instead of prompting Save As. Metadata comes back with the sheet.
